Mt. Makalu, at 8485m, is the fifth-highest mountain in the world. The hiking track starts out with outstanding strolling before inclining somewhat upward and through challenging terrain. Before trying a difficult pass like Sherpani Col at 6180 meters, it would be wise to take an acclimatization day after walking for more than a week till reaching 4800 meters. Once more, the trail gets more untamed until we reach the summits of West Col (6190 meters) and Amphu Lapcha Pass (5850 meters). After that, we begin our adventure by walking safely and comfortably along the well-known classic Everest trek in the direction of Chukkung, Tengboche, Namche Bazaar, and eventually Lukla, so that we may take a flight down to Kathmandu. The best times to travel Makalu base camp are from September to November and from March to May.
The 24-day Makalu Base Camp program begins with arrival in Kathmandu, cultural visits, and trek preparation. The next step is a flight to Tumlingtar and a subsequent drive to Num. Trekking to diverse locations like Seduwa, Tashigaon, and Khongma Danda while getting enough rest and lodging. The walk continues with Dobate, Yangri, and Langmale kharkhas to Makalu Base Camp, which is at a height of 4870 meters.
